Prof. Yelda Turkan from Oregon State University is currently visiting Prof Bryan Adey's Infrastructure Management group for two weeks to talk about "AI-Driven Digital Twinning of the Built Environment".

external page Dr. Yelda Turkan is an associate professor in the School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University. Her research interests and experience are centered on the areas of remote sensing, and information technology applications for construction engineering and management, and resilient Built Environment. She leverages tools such as BIM, lidar, augmented and mixed reality (AR/MR) to innovate planning, monitoring, and controlling construction operations, and improve decision making in the Built Environment. This visit is intended to catalyze collaboration between Oregon State University (OSU) and ETH Chair of Infrastructure Management in the area of Computing in Civil Engineering. In particular, development of Digital Twins (DT) of the built environment is a major area of research for both institutions and will be the focus of the collaboration.
