We warmly welcome our new PhD student Josia Meier!
Josia Meier joined the Chair of Infrastructure Management in October. He will work together with Prof. Dr. Bryan T. Adey, Dr. Saviz Moghtadernejad, Dr. Rade Hajdin and Simon Hässig on the MINERVA project.
The goal of the project is to develop a new process to enable integrated planning of maintenance interventions on road sections that are comprised of different types of assets.
Josia completed both his bachelor's degree in civil engineering and his master's degree in spatial development and infrastructure systems at ETH Zurich. In his master's thesis, he used an operations research model developed at the IM chair to determine intervention programs for the rail network of the SZU (Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn).
The Infrastructure Management Group mission is to improve the construction and management of infrastructure. For more information visit our webpage
