The article "Assessing the Effects of Closure-Free Periods on Railway Intervention Costs and Service" by Dr Marcel Burkhalter was published in the journal Infrastructure Systems. In this article, Dr Marcel Burkhalter shows how his network optimisation model can be used to evaluate the effects of closure-free periods, i.e. periods without service interrupting interventions, on intervention costs and service.

The article "Quantitative evaluation of highway designs considering uncertainties in future mobility patterns and flexibility using real options" by Dr. Claudio Martani and Steven Eberle was published in the journal Infrastructure Asset Management. Their article presents how real options can be used to improve the selection of new highway designs, using the example that is built on the A15 extension between Uster and Hinwil.
