Qian Chen successfully defends her dissertation

On November 12th, our doctoral student Qian Chen at the Chair of Infrastructure Management successfully defended her thesis - A systematic approach to enabling digital supply chain coordination in construction projects.
New PhD student is joining the IM Team

Orlando Roman Garcia graduated in Civil Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (BSc) and in Engineering for Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge (MPhil). His master thesis focused on long-term infrastructure planning for Saint Lucia and contributed to a recently published National Infrastructure Assessment for the island by UNOPS.
“The future is digital”: An editorial on the exploitation of digitalisation in infrastructure management and two papers on railway management are now published

Two new papers are published in the themed issue on defining, quantifying, measuring and modelling infrastructure service of the journal of Infrastructure Asset Management, featuring an editorial written by Professor Bryan Adey. The editorial explains that the exploitation of digitalisation in infrastructure management requires first to clarify what service is provided when the infrastructure is operated, it deteriorates, or it is maintained.
New article about Stormwater Infrastructure Management published

Yekenalem Abebe, who worked at the Chair of Infrastructure Management in 2019, has published his article "Sustainable Financing Strategies for Stormwater Infrastructure Management: A System Dynamic Model" about the research he has done at our Chair. Congratulations!

We welcome our new PhD student Hamed Mehranfar!

Hamed graduated from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in railway transportation engineering with a focus on railway operations management. Before joining the Chair of Infrastructure Management, he collected experience in applications of operations research in the railway industry during the Master’s program and working in a railway transportation company in Iran.
