Doctoral candidate Yushu An presents at the 3rd IACM DTE & AICOMAS 2025
Doctoral candidate Yushu An, from Prof. Bryan T. Adey's Chair of Infrastructure Management, presented at the 3rd IACM Digital Twins in Engineering Conference &1st ECCOMAS Artificial Intelligence and Computational Methods in Applied Science (DTE & AICOMAS 2025), held from February 17 to 21, 2025, in Paris, France.
The presentation was titled “Using Digital Twinning and Augmented Reality for Optimizing Train Door Maintenance Processes”.
As part of the OptXR research project in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), Yushu An presented the architecture and development of a digital twin system integrated with augmented reality (AR) technology. The system is designed to assist maintenance staff in quickly identifying faulty components and providing step-by-step maintenance guidance, ultimately optimizing the maintenance process for train doors.
