PhD student Arnór Elvarsson presents at the Urban Research Seminar next week!
Arnór Elvarsson, a doctoral student at Prof. Bryan Adey’s Chair of Infrastructure Management, is presenting at the Urban Research Seminar on April 17, 2024 at ETH Zürich, Hönggerberg.
Arnór Elvarsson will present on the topic: “Mapping, reviewing and improving the planning process for transport infrastructure in Canton Zürich”.
The work he is presenting had the objective of identifying ways that we can improve infrastructure planning processes, ultimately making them more responsive. The planning process is mapped for the Canton Zürich including all involved stakeholders on a national, cantonal and communal level, discussion of the planning organisations, their internal procedures and how the different stakeholder groups collaborate. Based on a systems-oriented review of the process, suggestions for improvement are proposed.
