Jin Rui Yap joined the Future Cities Lab at the Singapore ETH Center as a doctoral candidate in June as part of the Adaptive Mobility, Infrastructure, and Land-use Module.
Supervised by Prof. Dr. Bryan Adey, her research will be focused on adaptive planning processes for infrastructure projects. Her academic interests are broadly inclined towards advancing the use of simulation models to support policy analysis and decision-making.
Prior to joining ETH, she worked as a consultant at the World Bank, where she made use of spatial datasets to analyze issues related to urbanization and disaster risk. She obtained her master’s degree in Engineering and Policy Analysis from TU Delft, and her bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science from Smith College.
The Infrastructure Management Group mission is to improve the construction and management of infrastructure. For more information visit our webpage
