Prof. Bryan Adey will participate in the 24th EMS DACH Conference 2023!
The conference will take place from Wednesday 10 May to Thursday 11 May in Vienna and is organised by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK).
The conference will focus on the core topics in four workshops: "Prioritisation and bundling of maintenance measures", "Current findings on condition assessment" separated into "road superstructure" and "artificial structures", "Sustainability in maintenance management" and "BIM in maintenance management".
Prof. Adey will give a presentation on Wednesday 10 May on the workshop topic "Bundling of maintenance measures".
The workshop "Prioritisation and bundling of maintenance measures" will deal with maintenance management, which in the past was mainly caught between the conflicting priorities of costs and durability. Questions such as availability, sustainability or protection of residents are becoming increasingly important. The workshop deals with the question of which criteria and methods are used to summarise and evaluate maintenance measures for different assets (roads, bridges, tunnels) and what effects this has on the construction programme and the development of the condition.
