We warmly welcome our new Guest Professor Carl Haas!
Prof. Carl Haas from the University of Waterloo, Canada joins the Infrastructure Management Chair of Prof. Bryan T. Adey at the Institute of Construction and Infrastructure Management as a guest professor for 6 months.
Carl Haas is joining the Infrastructure Management Group at the Institute of Construction & Infrastructure Management as a visiting professor in December 2022 until May 2023. Carl is a University Research Chair and Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Canada. During his time here, he will collaborate on OptXR, which is a project focused on the development of mixed reality and digital twins for use in the management of railway networks, focusing on the SZU railway network. He is pleased to mentor students in his area of expertise. He will also collaborate with Professors Habert and De Wolf in the Institute of Construction and Infrastructure management, and will hold at least one public presentation. He will be a Senior Fellow at the Collegium Helveticum during his stay, along with Associate Fellow, Prof Bryan Adey.
