Hossein Nasrazadani presents at this year's EGU General Assembly in Vienna!
Hossein Nasrazadani from Prof. Bryan Adey's Chair of Infrastructure Management presented at this years European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly which took place in Vienna 23-27 May 2022.
The presented work was on a developed simulation methodology for evaluation of resilience enhancing interventions for transport systems subject climatic hazards, such as heavy rainfall, flooding, and landslide. The presented methodology is able to capture the complex spatiotemporal nature of climatic hazards, the complex behavior of transport networks during hazard events, and the significant uncertainties that exist in various aspects of resilience, from hazard to impact and recovery. The proposed simulation approach serves as a decision support tool to assist transport infrastructure managers to assess the resilience of their network under multiple scenarios of hazard events, and investigate the effect of various interventions to improve the resilience.
