Optimization of rail and rolling stock maintenance processes with extended reality and digital twins

Yushu An is joining the Infrastructure Management Group at the Institute of Construction & Infrastructure Management to work together with Prof. Dr. Bryan Adey and Prof. Dr. Carl Hass. They are furthering research on the optimization of rail and rolling stock maintenance processes with extended reality and digital twins.

Prior to joining ETH Zürich, Yushu attended Northwestern Polytechnical University, where he achieved his master's degree in the field of Mechatronic Engineering in April 2023 and his bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering in July 2020. His master’s thesis focused on the exploration of virtual simulation technology for mobile manipulators based on digital twins.
